We have a Britax and my husbands company works on the saftey testing on it. Its probably the best as far as safty, but the one we have (Decathlon) it a a bit bulky but the great thing is that the kids can stay in it until they are 65 lbs. so no need for any more carseats until they move to a booster. We love ours will for sure get the same for Griffin.

We bought a Britax Marathon and Reece LOVES it!!! From what I understand, we will not have to buy her another car seat until she hits 65 lbs, which should be around kindergarden. By that point she should be able to use a booster seat. It's a little more pricey, but it has great ratings and for me, I would rather spend a little more on purchasing one car seat that will last longer than having to buy another one down the road and then another one. Good-luck either way. :)

Jen, we have the Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat. I did a lot of research and looked at the Britax, however, this seat is a lot less expensive and has all of the same benefits and has great reviews. Rear facing until 35 pounds and the seat can be used until 65 lbs. It is so soft and Pearce loves it. Hope this helps.
